Q: How much notice should I provide to schedule a service?

A: For longer stays (2+ days), the sooner the better to guarantee a reservation for your time frame.  For all other visits, 48 hours is ideal with the exception of any last minute emergencies.

Q: Is there a minimum number of services I must order?

A: Nope!  You can schedule just one visit or one visit each week for the next few months.  It is totally up to you and your needs.

Q: Why do you recommend a consultation?

A: The consultation is a "meet and greet" that benefits everyone involved.

1.  Your pet becomes familiar with me so when I visit I am no longer seen as a stranger.

2.  Care 'n Cater gets to know your pet.  How their behavior is, commands they know, common habits and more.

3.  Care 'n Cater is able to become familiar with your home and where everything is located.

4.  Instruction and consent forms can be filled out and keys can be provided.

Q: What if my dog does not like a leash?

A: A leash is required for the safety of your pet and the pet sitter.  Only in yards with secure fences will your pet be taken off a leash.

Q: How will you discipline my pet if necessary?

A: Care 'n Cater Pet Sitter believes in positive reinforcement for pets.  Your pet will never be hit, spanked, grabbed or yelled at.  I will implement your suggested disciplinary actions and inform you of the situation in the Pet Report Card.

Q: How will you know I have returned home?

A: You are required to call Care 'n Cater Pet Sitter upon your return home.  If you have a situation where you will not be home at the specified time, you must call at your earliest convenience to give notice of the circumstances.  Your pet will be taken care of as needed and additional charges will apply.

Q: If my pet becomes ill or injured during my absence how will it be handled?

A: Care 'n Cater Pet Sitter takes the utmost care to prevent illness or injury to your pet.  However, if either situation occurs, you will be contacted and your veterinarian or an emergency veterinarian will provide care.
